About Us

History

The Educational Social and Agricultural Organization (ESA Org.) is an independent, social, and legal non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental Woman-Led organization committed to fostering comprehensive community development in Afghanistan.

ESA Org. is led by a team of dedicated professionals with extensive experience in social services, agriculture, logistics, and trading, uniquely equipped to address the multifaceted developmental challenges in Afghanistan. The organization's vision is rooted in a commitment to enhancing societal well-being, with a strong focus on education, community engagement, sustainable development, advocacy, agriculture, human rights, and economic perspectives.

Since 2018, ESA Org.’s team has played a pivotal role in distributing and implementing various charitable initiatives. Our team has actively participated in impactful projects focused on service delivery, humanitarian aid, educational services, procurement of essential resources, agricultural development, and broader community enhancement efforts in collaboration with other agencies and organizations.

In 2024, after a thorough assessment of the situation in Afghanistan and consultations with our team, it became clear that small-scale charity efforts were insufficient to address the immense challenges facing the country. This realization led to the establishment of the ESA Organization, with a mission to drive impactful, large-scale development initiatives.

Our work now spans 95% of the country’s geographical area, showcasing our extensive outreach and commitment to creating positive, lasting change. By partnering with key stakeholders, we have effectively addressed critical needs and contributed to countless communities' sustainable development and well-being.

Mission

ESA Organization is dedicated to fostering comprehensive community development, with a particular emphasis on empowering women’s participation and leadership across multiple sectors. Our mission is to enhance educational excellence, tackle social challenges, promote sustainable agricultural practices, improve access to quality healthcare, and provide psychosocial support. We are committed to generating positive, lasting impacts, ensuring that women not only benefit from but also lead these efforts.

By focusing on education, we aim to improve literacy, provide equal learning opportunities, and empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to build a brighter future. Through tackling social challenges, we address pressing issues such as gender inequality, social exclusion, and poverty, fostering a more equitable and cohesive society. Our agricultural initiatives promote sustainable practices that enhance food security, increase productivity, and support livelihoods in rural communities.

In healthcare, we strive to address critical challenges, improve maternal and child health, and ensure access to essential health services for underserved populations. Additionally, our psychosocial support initiatives aim to enhance mental well-being, build resilience, and provide critical support to those affected by trauma and adversity.

By enabling women to take active roles in education, social development, agriculture, healthcare, and psychosocial support, we uplift both individual communities and the nation at large. Our focus on women's empowerment is central to our strategy to create a sustainable, inclusive, and thriving Afghan society.
